I’ve been told that your twenties are your selfish years. The years where you are old enough to know better, but young enough not to care. You are figuring yourself out and what you want out of life. Some of us are getting too drunk in bars with our best friends and waking up hungover every other weekend. While others are getting married and starting their families. There are those who are contemplating why they are still single and haven’t found a potential significant other yet. And then there are some of us in loving relationships with great jobs and still yearning for more out of life.
When I am old and reminisce on my life, I want to have no regrets. I want to remember myself as being a fun, optimistic, and vibrant person who could make even the saddest soul smile. I want to be remembered as someone who loved her life. I say what’s on my mind, so I do not have to waste another second thinking about it. When you do not have bad blood with anyone you sleep better at night. I’ve learned to admit when I am wrong and learn from my mistakes. I’ve learned to complain less and be more appreciative. Once you let go of the grudges, the past, and poisonous/rube people, your life instantly becomes better. Remove yourself from the catty female culture society has created and celebrate another women’s success.
If anyone questions what you are doing with your life, then why let that bother you? What is anyone doing with their life that is better than yours? Honestly though, probably nothing. No matter what stage you are in in life there will always be someone who doubts you, puts you down, and tells you that you will never accomplish anything. Do it anyways. Do what sets your soul on fire. Most people are far too fearful to step out of their comfort zone and try something different. Don’t strive to be like “most” people. Be your own person. You will never influence the world if you are just like everyone else in it. You shouldn’t worry about those who talk about you behind your back because they’re behind you for a reason. It’s 2018, what do you want to accomplish for yourself this year?
Wherever you are in the world stay happy, healthy, and safe! ❤️
