I would be lying to you if I told you I did not enjoy extravagant events, high-class, and high-end designer items. There are days where I wake up feeling like Rebecca Bloomwood. My eyes light up at the thought of the embossed dark chocolate calfskin leather coated with a patent finish on a Louis Vuitton handbag. I can feel the softness of the silky texture of an Hermès scarf around my neck. And I imagine myself feeling like Carrie Bradshaw in a pair of luxurious Manolo Blahniks. I am one for quality over quantity. Everything in moderation though, I love budgeting myself. I can prove to myself that I have self-control. Money is easier spent than earned.
Even though, I find comfort in the finer things in life, I would rather spend money on experiences. Experiences build memories and there is no definite price tag on what is memorable. Sadly, some people are so poor all they have is money. It truly doesn’t buy happiness. It is a means of survival. There are people with all the money in the world who are still unsatisfied with their lives. True satisfaction comes from finding joy in life. It’s the little things in life that matter most like surrounding yourself with good people. Do you agree? Why or why not?
